My Bio

Louanne Jacinth Modeste-Sampson hails from the twin isle republic of Trinidad and Tobago. Eldest of 3 children of Pastor Laurence Modeste (deceased) and Patricia Modeste (educator, author and poet).
Louanne earned her Bachelor of Arts (Hons) from Andrews University in History Education and Business Administration. She read Education Management at the University of North London (Metropolitan University) and received her PGCE from the Open University. She completed several leadership courses from The National College of School Leadership and The University of London.
Louanne has been an Educator, Event planner, community leader for over 30 years, However, in the last 23 years most of her teaching, community building, coaching work has been done while battling systemic and discoid lupus.
Now retired from the classroom Louanne remains a passionate and caring community builder, She continues to lead and serve as a school governor, mental health first aider, and hospital patient partner focussing on how music helps special needs students and brings relief and healing to those on hospitals etc.

As mentor and coach for young people, and community stakeholders and leaders, Louanne has served as chair and trustee of several non- profit organisations board, for faith groups, disability charities and schools.
Louanne was a former member of Gospel Express and is now a member of the world-renowned London Adventist Chorale. She has served as music minister, leader, and director within her faith group and selflessly serves several non-profit organisations in her local district of Dagenham and Romford.
Louanne is passionate about growing musicians and leaders, to be game changers in leading and managing within their spheres of influence and build their self-efficacy. She is currently extending her music and writing to buttress several community stakeholders coping with chronic illness, divorce, mental health issues in the global pandemic and national lockdown.
