A Lupus Journey
Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease in which the immune system mistakenly attacks healthy tissue in the body, leading to inflammation and damage to various organs. The condition can affect different parts of the body, including the skin, joints, kidneys, heart, and lungs.
Louanne lives with this condition and it has seen her go through many trying, some near death, experiences. She requires ongoing medical care, involving multiple doctor visits and specialist appointments throughout the year to prevent complications and maintain a certain quality of life.
As a result of her own experiences, Louanne has become an advocate and a source of support for people suffering with this life-altering condition whilst continuing to smile and encourage others even through her own storms.
